A New Jersey native, Jennifer came to Savannah in 2006 to pursue a degree in Illustration at the Savannah College of Art and Design. She received her B.F.A in March of 2009 and decided to call Savannah home. Following her undergrad program, she attended Armstrong State University for a teaching certification in Art Education for grades K-12.
While pursuing her teaching certification, Jennifer worked for Artsy's on River Street under the former owner as Gallery Manager. In 2011, she purchased the company, put teaching on hold, and built a custom frame shop within the store. By 2013, the frame shop had outgrown it's space leaving Jennifer on the hunt for a larger storefront.
In February of 2014, Jennifer opened a second location at 106 East Broughton Street. With the help of stellar frame shop manager Chris Taylor, a more efficient frame shop was built, and it was time to merge both stores into one space. In February of 2016, Jennifer closed the doors to the River Street location allowing her to focus on making the Broughton store bigger, better, and bolder. Although the feel is still the same, Artsy's game has increased tremendously by carrying innovative souvenirs, tripling the molding selection with the same affordable prices, and packing the store with today's best available prints.
